skin tagsThere are skin moles, there are skin tags and there are warts. The problem is, some people cannot see any difference between them and may try to remove warts using methods that are meant for mole removal. It is not dangerous, however removing cancerous moles can make many problems and in this article I will explain the difference between these three types of skin blemishes.

Skin Moles

There are two types of skin moles: cancerous and non cancerous. It is very important to determine whi9ch type of a mole you have before you consider removing it at home. The thing is, cancerous moles cannot be removed; only benign types can be eradicated.

Moles have many causes but the most common causes are:

  • Sun exposure
  • Heredity
  • Hormonal changes

There are natural skin tag removal and surgical removal methods. If you visit your doctor he will, most likely, recommend you laser or cryosurgery. In some cases excision with stitches will be also recommended. In case you prefer organic treatment, there are many various methods and ingredients and you can learn more about them by going through articles in our right menu.

Skin Tags

Skin tags usually appear on skin folds because of constant friction. Most common places where you can see these blemishes are: neck, eyelid, groin and some others. Skin tags are not big and usually do not grow overtime.  They do not cause any pain and are absolutely harmless, the only reason why people remove them is their ugly appearance. There are many options for removal. You can remove skin tags by natural means of your surgeon can remove it in a clinic. Both methods are very effective.

Warts

Warts are caused by human papillomavirus that is also known as HPV. (More info here: http://www.cdc.gov/std/hpv/stdfact-hpv.htm) . Most types of the HPV are not dangerous and do not cause any problems, however there are some special types that result is warts. These are very contagious and if you touch somebody’s  wart and then touch a part of your body, wart can appear there. That is why you should avoid any skin to skin contact with people affected by warts. Warts are not dangerous and can be removed surgically or naturally.

Now you know what causes each type of skin blemish and how you can remove it. To sum up I would like to repeat that moles are the most dangerous blemishes which require additional attention before removal. If you have skin tags it is good and you can remove them without any problems.
